A local hair salon is showing support for members of the military, veterans, police, firefighters and emergency medical technicians by offering free haircuts each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in September. The Visage Salon and Day Spa, 11910 Louetta Road, represents the Pham family’s American dream, and they want to give something back to those who made it possible.
Thu Pham Arnold, the lead designer stylist for Visage, said she got the idea while talking with her children about the benefits of being an American citizen.
“If it was not for the bravery and sacrifice of American servicemen and women, my family would not be living in the greatest nation in the world. Life as we know it would not exist,” she said.
Arnold was two when her family, who owned and operated a hair salon in Saigon, fled the invading North Vietnamese Army in 1975.
